Head of Technical Services
Calvin joined HETAS at the beginning of 2010 and has since progressed into the role of Head of Technical Services here at HETAS, responsible for leading the technical departments in raising best practice standards for the installation and commissioning of solid fuel equipment and services, as well as providing informative updates which may impact the responsibilities of HETAS registrants and recognised stakeholders.
Calvin maintains a pro-active involvement in leading and developing British and European installation and product testing standards through Chairmanship of BSI solid fuel technical committee RHE/28, and is also an expert representative on current European residential standards committee working groups as part of TC/295.
Calvin brings a wealth of experience as part of his previous roles within project management, IT management and product evaluation process obligations and is a strong advocate in maintaining continued safety practices for the industry through quality schemes and projects whilst at the same time raising awareness of the impacts and improvements in environmental responsible burning of solid based fuels within the sector.
